Re: how to propagate Amanitas?
I have a vide on slurrying as a placeholder until I can get the better one made, which I am editing at the moment and hope to have up tonight. :) Ok, I have my discards festering in a bucket of pure Pacific Northwest rainwater. Looking pretty nasty so far. I'll go spread it through my forest when i...

Can you summarize what those differences were? I can't seem to find the relevant videos.amanitadreamer wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 1:26 pmSome of you may have seen my eating raw video and then the microdosing ibo videos. It's odd to me that I got such different results from raw versus heat dried.

dried Amanita on pizza?
I have been preparing my Amanita muscaria tea following Amanita Dreamer's method. Basically: - Dry in oven set to 180F with door propped open and the fan on until mushrooms are cracker dry. - Store in glass jar with a desiccant pack. - Lightly boil 15g of dried caps in about 1 cup of distilled water...

how to propagate Amanitas?
I just found some great Amanitas today and was wondering if there was a way that I could do a spore print and get some of those spores out into the wild where they could do the most good. Should I just spore print onto a paper towel and then go bury that near some trees? Any techniques that have bee...

Ocean Shores, WA
Anyone here familiar with Ocean Shores, WA? I'm going to be out there in a couple months and will definitely be on the lookout for Amanitas.
Any good finds out that way recently?

Amanita ameripanthera
I was going to call these Amanita Pantherina, but after viewing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_pantherina on Wikipedia it would appear that my location (Pacific Northwest) would make these Amanita Ameripanthera. The first two photos were taken last November and I wasn't sure if they were old ...

the myth of Amanita's poisonousness
Why are ignorant people so quick to mention that AM is poisonous? Just saw this discussion happening on Facebook today.

Re: finding Amanita
Hi, Jackie. I would start looking around small lakes at low elevation to start. I have seen Amanita growing up in the Cascades in drier conditions, but it seems I usually find them around lakes. Around here in Skagit county they also seem to like growing near Douglas Fir while other people say they ...

AM appearing in western WA State yet this fall?
Haven't seen any AM around here yet this year. I know the time is coming, but just curious if anyone around the Puget Sound area or the Washington coast has been finding AM yet this fall.
Thanks!

Re: Photos & Finds Thread
Found this group of shrooms last weekend growing on one of the San Juan Islands in WA State. Did not see any others the entire weekend. They look like young Amanitas, but without any interesting color at all. Do these look like they could be a type of Amanita?
