New to amanita muscaria, picked these today

Post by Matt » Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:44 pm

Just found these today here in northwest Washington State. I've never tried amanita before and am keen to do so. My understanding, largely from watching Amanita Dreamer, is to dry them in the oven while trying to keep the temp at about 165F. And then to simmer the dried mushrooms in water on the stove (I'm skipping measurements, but know they're in her videos).
Is there any other guidance, warnings, etc. that you would offer to a newbie? I want to start with a very small dose.
Thanks for reading.
Love,
-Matt

I'm new to Amanita too. I found this one today. At least I think this is Amanita. Could someone confirm? Thanks
