Hi! I’m new here. I met these beauties in Colorado during my travels. They were the beginning of my obsession with Amanita Muscaria. Now that I’ve learned a bit more, I’m wondering if they are actually Amanita Persicina? I haven’t been able to find any info on whether Persicina can be found in Colorado. Thanks for any info you can provide!

Really lovely! Persicinas only grow in the southeastern US :)

Thank you! Is A. Persicina found in the NE? I’m in Vermont now, and I stumbled across these beauties under a spruce tree (I think). They are very orangey with tan-yellow veil remnants, and the stem is sort of cream colored. One of the caps is pretty large (almost the size of a tennis ball), and it hasn’t even opened up and flattened yet! Clearly the slugs love them. So exciting to encounter these beautiful spirits all the way up here in VT! 😍
