Amanita and time distortion

The perception of time with Amanita is something that really intrigues me.

I have never had an experience where time was highly variable and seemed to speed up and slow down randomly, like I read in some reports. But more than once it seemed to me that while I was feeling normal, everything around me appeared slow. Normally, I'd say this is all only in my head and I'm just perceiving it differently. But it transfers to the real world.

Once I was playing a team-based computer game - something in which I'm pretty mediocre at best. But now everything on the screen was moving almost painfully slow, including myself, leaving me ample time to decide and react. This wasn't subjective only, I totally outperformed what I can normally do. (Please take this as anecdotical, I don't want to encourage cheating in computer games and using Amanita for such mundane purposes is not paying it the respect it deserves.)

Still the fascination remains. What is happening in the brain under Amanita influence?

What are your experiences?

I’ve had one trip experience with muscaria and it was 4 days ago. I ingested a lot of powder and couldn’t give you an exact dose. I was getting frustrated because before I had eaten 2 to 3 dried caps and mixed with powder and got pretty much nothing but lucid dreams and a little bit of euphoria with some pain relief. Needless to say, I came home that Monday and my powder had arrived that day. I opened the bag and probably took twice the amount I’d normally take which is maybe about two mouth fulls. I felt nauseous and decided to just go to bed, I think I was either nauseous from drinking too much water or accumulating the Amanita over a period of two months straight. 4 hours later I woke up having the trippiest dream, I was in a pitch black environment pouring pink bottles of vodka down someone’s throat, I always feel like I’m awake during the dream but at the same time I’m not. After I woke up, I thought I was drunk, mind you I haven’t drank for two years. I could feel these waves pulsating in my arms, soon I realized it was the amanita. And when I got up out of bed my whole body was numb, my heart was pounding and felt like I had two hearts. One was beating slow almost to the point of death and the other was about to explode.

I was worried I might have to go to the hospital because I had never experienced anything like this or had gotten this high. I could feel rings rotating around me like Saturn, and could even see them. I felt like a tornado, some how I didn’t freak out, despite having little control over what was going on. But I could get things done if I just focused, when I woke up I didn’t know what time it was or what day it was or maybe even what year it was. I turned on my game to play it and everything was slow like you said, I had even sort of forgotten how to play it. I turned on some music and 1 minute into the song seemed like 10, and a 10 minute song seemed like hours. My head was spinning and was just starring into the tv while listening to music having some of the most profound thoughts that almost had me burst into tears that I wish I had wrote down. When I started to come down because I didn’t know if I was or not I had a lot of peace and the rings spinning around me started to disappear, there were three to start with and by the time I had gone to bed there was only one left spinning real slow. That 2 to 3 hour trip seemed like an entire day, and I was so happy to have finally experienced it.

My partner has experienced time distortion as the only effect from a decent sized dose before. She said she kept checking the time thinking video game time was over and it was time to go to bed and every time barely any time had gone by. She loved it.

yep if you go deep enough time will stop! and you will be stuck in a loop reliving a split second over and over again:) singularity, God...
Amanitas inhibits your bodies! the physical and the astral...

Pretty sure most of you have seen my trip report and I really love all the time distortion. I have this to say about time....my first experience with huge time distortion was during childbirth and it really helped me get through some really intense pain. This tells me that perception of time is really important to the brain and using it can help shift perceptions. We have an internal biological clock and if it can function and learn, it can also be shifted. The next time I had that was my first trip which I talk about on camera. It is why I say this mushroom feels like the drug in limitless, that ability to perceive in between the moments of time and use when things slow down. And also makes me think of the Matrix and how it really is all an illusion. Me thinks I wanna make a video on the topic. I made one and mentioned it a year ago but what it has done for me, this distortion, and the living things around me is worthy of discussion. I think.
GermanDreams do you mind if I mention you?

Now that you mention it, yes it is really reminiscent of the Matrix, just without much flashy effects and, thankfully, being shot at. Of course not, I don't mind and would appreciate to be mentioned. :)

So I took AM 2 weeks back and experienced time distortion like everyone else. But whats interesting is on first trip i wrote notes to self including “ time is a dimensional variable that oscillates across now or present moment. Now is constant and unmeasurable.”

Even more interesting is I experienced nausea and abdominal pain an hour before i took AM as if the looping cycle had already begun. On the second occasion after 2 days, an hour before i was boiling up fresh-half sun dried Amanita i started getting nausea again as if i had already taken it. Knowing whats to come i decided not to take it but in the end moment i couldnt abort my action and took it.

After these two trips i often notice body changes that guide me whats to happen next for eg my heart starts racing and i feel sweaty half hour before i have gone to the gym/hike or even decided to go gym. I’m unaware as to how long these effects last. But my inner self voice keeps telling me to just surrender to present moment and be a witness to all that’s happening and that Doership is only an illusion.
I decided to write this today as i was reading the notes i wrote to myself and read at 3:41pm(two weeks after the trip) “You will experience as future when you read at time 3:41 coz clock ticks but you know”

PS I also wrote during my trip “ Trippers dont forget to drink water, your liver-saver. Haha”
