Decarbing dried AM caps

Post by RogerDoc » Sun Mar 13, 2022 4:47 am

I purchased some AM that was dehydrated at 100° F. My question is, should I decarb it in the oven @ 165° F or is it too late once it has been dehydrated? I

I have read amanitadreamer write about this earlier. It is too late, as I understand it. You need to use other method for further decarboxylation.
Arktos in my case refers to the bear, nothing else.

I also purchased caps dried at 100 deg. F , dried them more at 165 degrees them simmered into a tea. I got absolutely nothing. Next time I will try preparing the tea with no further dehydration or simply eat them raw. Hoping for better results with the next batch.

I have dried caps coming. Also prepped at 100 degrees. Any updates on how to increase the decarboxlyation for making the tea? I don't want to wipe out all the good stuff with too much heat, but I would like to convert the ibotenic acid to a level that doesn't create a lot of side effects. Help?
