Let's introduce ourselves.

Post by Sarah » Tue Oct 22, 2019 7:38 pm

Hi Everyone.

I'm Sarah, I live in BC, Canada. And it's Amanita harvest time here. I've been collecting for two weeks.

I was drawn here because I feel akin with amanitadreamer. I'm 42, female, science minded, recently diagnosed aspergers (ASD 1) anxiety, depression, trauma... etc.

I refused the meds, over and over. I've dealt with the stress of my life with breathing, meditation, avoidance, isolation, and silence. Never did I feel normal. I was always a failure at certain things, and yet so smart. Told I never lived up to my potential. Such a shame she didn't do what she could have. Should have been a doctor. Why so worried all the time? Just deal with it and move on. Just get over it, we all feel like that.

I've always known that the answers to my problems were to be found in the natural world, most likely buried by cultural domination practices. But I always knew that it was there. I've developed my own micro dose protocol, and I have not felt like this.. well... ever. That I can recall. I'm functional. I'm not afraid. I'm loved. I'm cared for. This isn't normal for me. Correction, this wasn't normal for me... but I'm getting used to it. I still deal with moments of course. I still feel deeply in all directions of mood.

This is helping me.

I'm so glad you are doing this. Sosososo glad. :)

Hi Sarah and everyone I'm Gus. I am an artist and researcher specialising in 3D sound. I lived in the Amazon for around ten years studying natural medicines and techniques so I could apply them to plants etc back home - which is the UK and Ireland. I currently live in Ireland. Recently we moved near a forest that is overflowing with Amanita. I feel strangely drawn to it. I came here because I read some of Amanita Dreamings youtube vids and liked her no bullshit approach that combines science and spirituality - which I do not feel are mutually exclusive. For my PhD I studied the mycorhizzal network and plant communication. You can see a short video of what I did here :

I hope this forum will be an interesting hi quality environment its already looking promising...

Hey cyberfolk

I live uk south coast england. Amanitas pop up in my local forest. This year has been abundant, first came the birch symbiotic amanitas, and then about a couple weeks later another wave came, symbiotic to the pine trees. Its great to see such an ancient mushroom growing freely still in a concrete age. I am happy to see a community growing and more people banding together to share knowledge, information and stories. I have a deep connection to the earth and all cosmic universal connection and have formed a strong bond with the sacred Amanita, and am on a path of discovery, learning how different mushrooms can benefit our own personal life and help all life on earth. For amazing knowledge and intrepid fungi fanatics I recommend Paul Stamets and learning more about mycelium and its long ancient history of connection to earth and further into the universe. Thankful to Amanita Dreamer for setting up this forum.

Before animals, there was fungi.

Peace :)

Hey Sarah, hey Gus, hey Jurassicshifter2000 :)

I'm James, I'm a traveller based around Northern Europe so I'm not really tied to any one location. I came to study Amanita via the Taoist route, trying to work out what the old internal and external alchemical traditions were based on. It was clear that they were under the impression, much like European Alchemists, that they were trying to recreate some substance that they had lost in antiquity. This led me to the work of the Ambrosia Society and Teeter which tied it all in to Western Alchemy and the various spiritual traditions that it seems to have been related to. They all seem to say the same thing. This could, of course, be because they share a common route in prehistory, but perhaps there is more to it.

This led me to looking around online and I came across the work of Amanita Dreamer which got me looking more closely into the biochemistry of it all. What I started discovering blew my mind. We set this forum/wiki up to act as a platform for people to share their research and experiences. I hope that together we can unravel what's really going on here.

If you have any ideas on how we can improve the forum, ping me a message, I'm all ears.

Thank you all for getting involved and a special thanks to Amanita Dreamer for pulling all this together. I look forwards to seeing what comes of all this :)

Hi folks, my name is James. I also live in the South East of the uk, North Hampshire, after spending over 2 decades of shamanic practice, I've finally felt amanita muscaria calling me so like other's have come across the same kind of online resources, amanita dreamer of course on youtube (thankyou so much for setting up this online presence for us to link up with fellow amanita researchers /practitioners, ive been waiting patiently (mostly) for them to pop up in local woodlands as I've seen them there before. And finally over the last week or so in two different woodlands they've popped up, in one woodland they are prolific, its mainly a pine and birch woodland, and ive been shamanising in this particular wood for as long as i have practiced so it just felt awesome. Ive collected a few and am waiting for a friend to let me know when a dehydrator he has ordered arrives, so for now they are sat in the fridge and it wont be long before i go back to get a second harvest.

I’m Jeff. I’m hesitant to share too much. I’ve collected, processed and an still adjusting dosing for myself for Anxiety. I’m in my 3rd week of using medicine. Dreamer you’ve been very helpful. Lots of things to learn and you’ve created a trail that’s caring and clear, I’ve learned allot.
Not completely sure this is my answer yet.
Am proceeding cautiously. “Recreational” has many levels of intensity depending on dosage.

Proceed gently, safely with your spirit and your Psyche. This is a very powerful plant that has enormous potential to heal and enlighten.
Sending love along.

Hi I'm Julie

I'm not sure where to begin.. I've spent the last 7years in therapy trying to deal with and shake of various mental health issues that started in my childhood and compounded by my toxic coping strategys as an adult.
The only time in my life I felt I could cope and carry on was many years ago whilst using liberty caps .
I am off all meds now and in a much better place in my life and feel in control for the first time. It's been a year now since I left therapy and have been doing a lot of research into being my own natural therapist with the aid of nature . A few weeks ago I came to the conclusion that micro doseing with amanita has potential benefits for me.
I've just harvested and dried my first batch and doing some last minute resurch before I go ahead and prepare my first dose .

I just want to say a very big thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us , it's been an inspiration and wealth of information...
It couldn't have come at a better time for me .
Blessed be xXx

Hello to everyone in really excited about the speed in which all the correct information regarding this sacred mushroom is gathering.
My name is Chris. I live in Suffolk UK. The land in Suffolk is rich in fungi and flora and I am lucky to have an abundance of it to collect dry and use at my leisure.
I have been using psilocybin mushrooms for some time and found it helpful in dealing with past issues that have had a negative impact on my life but now I feel the time is right to use the information learnt with thanks especially to AmanitaDreamer to go a step further and make good use of this special gift we have that as I say is in abundance in these parts.
It seems to me that it has the power to enable us to really deal with the issues we least want to tackle in our subconscious.
I have a passion for medicinal, psychoactive and in general all fungi.
I started on my journey without warning it just called to me and I followed and i learn everyday.
Love and peace to you all.

Hello @all, and a special thanks to Amanita Dreamer for starting her YT channel and this forum!
My name is Maik, 45 years old, I'm from Germany. After starting out in medical science I took a turn and majored in History and Computational Linguistics.
But 3 years ago, my voyage of rediscovering started... rediscovering the ways of our ancestors. Amanitas are a very big part in this, so I am happy to have found this forum.

Hi everyone, I am Derek, 48, English living in France. I play harmonica, make homemade bread, beer & mead & naturally mushrooms are the logical next step, except I can't find any round here so had to buy it on eBay.. I am particularly interested in brewing with muscaria to make a musky mead, in small doses.. :)
