Pleas enlighten me !
There so many conflicting comment online about this but i think hereI will get a better informed response than facebook groups, etc This i sthe picture Ive got a lot of which may be misinformed
1. You want the Ibotenic acid to convert to muscamol which is more potent and less toxic ?
2. This conversion happens at temperature(60- 80 degrees Celcius?)
3. So... does a dehydrator convert Ibotenic acid to mollusc ? Does an open overn on th elowest heat do this ?
I'm a wee bit confused !!

Oven drying is prone to failure so I don't recommend doing that. The right dehydrator will IF you can be sure that it keeps that temp. If it's a cheap one rotate the trays regularly. Once you heat dry you get about 30% conversion.Gus wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 7:42 pmPleas enlighten me !

Would would you recommend for a person that doesn't own dehydrator? Air drying only or air drying + oven or just just oven possible? I know oven is prone to failure and definitely not the best option, but the only thing I can do is air drying and very low temp in oven. No fireplace etc. Would whould you suggest?
