Re: Photos & Finds Thread
Hello friends! This is my first post. I found my first Amanitas two years ago and I saw it in my dream with the location I found them. This happened three times each with different locations; I'd dream about finding them before 1-2 weeks. However, here are some finds. These ones aren't in good condition but they're special in that it's the first find of this year. We were having a spiritual mountain trip with a friend, we weren't expecting to find Amanita as there were no rain for some time and we were in a southern region (Northern Turkey). We're planning to have another trip to the same mountain after some rain falls to the ground.
Plus I'm adding this otherworldly find too. Anyone knows its species?
Edit: did a little research on the second, weird find. I wasn't even sure if it was a mushroom until now Turns out it is. It's called 'Clathrus Ruber'. There are some references on this mushroom in literature and folklore and it really deserves it all, I guess. Here's more info on this beautiful species: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clathrus_ruber

First flush in north Carolina about four days ago. More rain expected in a few days so we will see if we get more, but they flushed hard and are everywhere in my neighborhood in the Sandhills region of North Carolina.

Does this look like Amanita muscaria var. guessowii? I took this photo in August and didn't pick it. Hopefully it'll be back.

Re: Photos & Finds Thread
Here are a few Amanita chrysoblema (sometimes referred to as Amanita muscaria var. alba). I don't use them because white amanitas are not something I want to mess around with, but as I've found them to be fairly uncommon I took a few photos. They are definitely some cool mushrooms.

"Cherry laurel", Prunus laurocerasus variety "Otto Leukans", is what it looks like to me. Innocent bystander, I'd say.

Hello friends! This is my first post. North of Atlanta, GA by the Chattahoochee River. It is raining now so the next few days may be nice for foraging.
