I just found this forum and of course this is my first post. I have one good photo from years ago here in southern Indiana. I will try to find some of my other photos. Glad I found this site!

Sorry for the double download, its my first try at this.
Anyways, I saw this popping up and snap a photo to share. A search identified it as “Sunshine Amanita” or “Amanita Aprica”

Does anyone here recognize it as such?
Is it of interest?

Thanks people in advance for your thoughts.

Found this group of shrooms last weekend growing on one of the San Juan Islands in WA State. Did not see any others the entire weekend. They look like young Amanitas, but without any interesting color at all. Do these look like they could be a type of Amanita?

I'm new to the group and somewhat new to Amanita. I think this is an Amanita not sure. Could someone confirm? Found this one today roaming the hills near Park City Utah. I am visiting from Alabama.

I went to Yosemite National Park in the last week of July and stayed in the beautiful Tuolumne high country.
I had just finished the 3 week course and was soooo excited about amanita and couldn't stop talking about it. As soon as I arrived to my campsite, 3 amanita muscaria appeared right there!
Since I don't know much about mushrooms I got too worried that I might not have identified them correctly (as most had some orange or yellow on the cap but were white on the stipe and they were found in California). I picked probably 20 or more over the 4 days I was there. I even cooked up the tea recipe for microdosing on my camp stove! Unfortunately, everyone I told was super worried that I might get sick and didn't want to have to take me to hospital if it didn't work. So in the end I put all the mushrooms back and didn't eat them even though I really wanted to try the tea!
SO! if you think these are Amanita muscaria let me know!

Eastern Massachusetts here, went out today in search of Amanita and found 3 varieties. I believe this one is my regions version of Amanita Muscaria var Guessowii, but it’s a bit small. The stems are white though, so not A. Flavoconia.

Probably not the smartest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s in my oven. I’m going to make a tea and drink the tiiiiiniest amount before bed. Any thoughts? ID confirmation? Image
