UK Law and Amanita Muscaria

Does anyone know what the actual law is in the UK on Amanita Muscaria?
I understand that since 2016 it has become illegal to buy or sell psychoactive substances, and I believe Amanita muscaria falls under that category, though I'm not certain.

Does any one know more about this?
And, what about picking Amanita muscaria for one's own consumption - what does the UK law say about that?

the UKs blanket ban on psychoactive substances means that it could be considered illegal, but I think Amanita has stayed a grey area there but I am not expert

According to this article by the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4691899.stm dated 2005, they state the following:
The law change does not affect another, much more rarely used magic mushroom: Amanita muscaria - more commonly known as Fly Agaric.
I'll do a bit more research as this is very applicable to my situation as I live in Wales.

Just took a look at the Misuse of Drugs Act 2005 section 21 https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2005/17/section/21 According to this legislation it is only those mushrooms containing Psilosin that is specified as a class A drug. So unless someone knows better I'm going to assume that I could at least have a defence in court if they decided to pursue a charge. According to the Act, there have been no additions to the act that change this section.

I'd love to hear from anyone that knows anything different!

That a bit of a relief, Raven. :P
Still, I shall be discreet. Thanks for looking.

So yeah as I understand it technically every psychoactive substance that is not prescribed, caffeine, or nicotine is illegal now in the UK, but I don't think that is heavily enforced in the way of Amanita but I am not a lawyer.
