The Healing Chemical in Amanita Muscaria Is ..?

Post by Rebis » Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:56 am

Concerning microdosing, what is the healing chemical in Amanita muscaria?
Is it Muscimol, or something else?

No1 knows for sure :D
But its probably the mix of all the chemicals produced by AM!!!

If your taking it for healing purposes you will probably want everything the mushroom gives! And daily microdosing it fresh or in a vodka tincture maybe the best way of doing it...

I guess it depends on what it is that you want to heal specifically, and even how healing works?

It would be interesting to know how commercially available Am tinctures are produced. "Full spectrum extraction" tinctures, or fluid extracts, are oftenly the best way to get the most out of a given fungal or herbal material, due to all compounds work in an integral way.

This is most likely very subjective until science can reveal the answers for us, but I'm aware that Don Teeter of the ambrosia society believed that the ibotenic acid had antibiotic properties and was really great to take when sick or needed an immunity boost. (This was all in relation to the fleece's chemicals being believed to be ibotenic acid)

Thanks everyone for the info. :)
I guess I'll have to experiment a bit (after the next season, that is, for I haven't found enough this season to experiment with).

I suspect that the remedies that are used topically are effective due to ibotenic acid. My only reason for believing this is most old preparations for it involved no heat meaning they will be higher in ibotenic acid than preparations that did use heat.
