Time duration needed to dry between 160 and 190F to convert
I was wondering how long to keep the caps between 160 and 190 degrees F to achieve upto 30% decarboxylation?

They will dry and decarb will happen no matter how long you dry them, since they dry fast. It's the removal of all humidity that's more important. I dry mine overnight and sometimes 24 hours if they are really water logged. Also, making sure you're talking about raw ones. I have lots of videos on the drying stuff at the website.KelliGreen wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 8:53 pmI was wondering how long to keep the caps between 160 and 190 degrees F to achieve upto 30% decarboxylation?

I dried a batch of mine in the oven and kept the temp Attie around 165-170. Now I am on my second batch and have used my laser temp probe to double check the temp of the mushrooms. From what I can tell the water content keeps the about 20 degrees lower than the air temp in the oven. I am curious if this is preventing conversion.
