At the risk of seeming completely inept, even after watching videos and reading posts...I am still not clear about specific instruction on getting them "cracker dry" before tea conversion. My dehydrator only gets to 145 F.

. DO I PUT THEM IN?
.HOW LONG?
.IS THERE ANY CONVERSION?
.AM I AN IDIOT?!!! ;) ;) ;)

Hi,
I am a total noob, but I think cracker dry is more for storage of unused. If you purchased some that are "mostly dry" but a little "bendy" , I think you can just use the tea recipe. To store the remainder they should be cracker dry in a sealed jar with gasket lid (Mason jar) with desiccant . They will grab any moisture they can. I used rock salt, rice, and a desiccant pack in a Mason jar. I dried mine a little more by cracking the oven door and oven temp as low as possible. I placed a small rack overhanging the cracked oven door and dried them for like 30 min turning frequently. Then in the jar. They seemed cracker dry.
