I am keeping an eye on 7 amanita muscaria buttons for harvest. I think they might be good size for harvest on Sunday. I don't want to be greedy and hurt the fungus, do I need to leave some of the fruiting bodies?

I just finished processing my first batch of amanitas and have been enjoying the tea and going up slowly on dose to get an idea on potency, etc.

my understanding is that we do not need to leave any ~ most often more will emerge but...Amanita Dreamer says once the caps have opened they have already shed countless spores covering a huge area
