Somewhere afar
A cry rang out
Wondrous words echoing
In my restless heart
A call I heard
In three different tongues
Of such awing majesty
Soft and silently
Whispering my name
I could not oppose.....

It's been so long since I've joined a forum. I am excited to be a part of this community that seems to be ahead of the crowd in combining the scientific method with the experiences of spirituality.

I am a post-Christian polytheist living in the midwestern USA. In October 2019 I made some major discoveries which I am currently writing a paper on. They were mainly surrounding my patron deity, and as a result greatly impacted my overal belief system about the gods and bolstered my past intution about their nature and the world around us.

Last month, I watched the livestreamed conference for the documentary Fantastic Fungi. No more than a hop and a skip from there I started researching the Amanita Muscaria and soon came accross information about it linking it to my patron deity and lining up with the previous discoveries just as I was thinking I had exhausted any new realizations from them. I knew then that I wanted to, and had to have an encounter with this mushroom.

With the rest of the world right now, I find myself at a halt in my life, trying to find a way to heal from a myriad of physical and mental health issues that have compounded over the years with burnout after burnout until I found myself limited to a degree that I can no longer ignore. I want to believe in what I have been lead to, and I hope it helps me make the most of the life I have yet to live.

Hello everyone!

I'm MashMan from Down Under in Australia. It's so cool to have found this forum. Thank you dear lady for creating it. Yah Bless! I'm actually American born but have been down under since 1971 with a trip back to my home state Florida from 1998 to 2011 before returning once again to my down under state of residence in South Australia. I'm a very spiritual person by nature and a mad researcher of anything that interests me. All my life I have had a really cool relationship with the spirit of Yah the creator of it all and often ask Him to "show me great and mighty things I do not know". I'm non-religious so I'm a free thinker. Yah has led me to some amazing discoveries, and there is a time to every purpose under heaven. While doing some research on the original languages of scripture in early 2000 while in Florida I stumbled upon John Allegro's "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross" and was excited to see that both the Qaneh Bosm (cannabis) and the Sacred Mushroom (amanita muscaria) are an amazing part of the sacraments in the scriptures, and that there are spiritual reasons for their use that were banned by the priesthoods of both the Old and New testaments. This interested me greatly. I have always been a casual user of the holy herb and even grew my own in Florida, making the Holy Anointing Oil from a crop exactly as described in scripture. I use it in prayer and meditation and it's amazing as it opens up the eyes of the spirit when I anoint myself on all the top five chakras before prayer or meditation

I've always heard that the Sacred Soma - Amanita Muscaria does not grow and can not be found in the southern hemisphere. Well, a few weeks ago I decided to go to a local Pine Forrest as it is winter here right now and we have had lots of rains in the hope of finding some Psilocybin Mushrooms. As is my habit I was praying that Yah would "show me great and mighty things I do not know" and lead me to them. I saw lots of shrooms that I could not identify safely so I kept praying and walking through the forest when suddenly something amazing caught my eye from within a hidden grove surrounded by bushes and thickets.

It was the Sacred Soma! I'll try and upload the pictures soon.

Southern Hemisphere has them too!

*Both the Semitic and the Greek words for “christ”, the “anointed, or smeared one”, came from
Sumerian terms for semen or resinous saps, MASh and SKEM. Used as descriptive titles in that
language, they appear as a “MASh—man”, exorcist, that is, the priest who drives away demons,
and as a “ShEM-man” a compounder of perfumes, the equivalent of the Old Testament mixer of
the holy anointing-oils.

Hi Sarah and everyone I'm Gus. I am an artist and researcher specialising in 3D sound. I lived in the Amazon for around ten years studying natural medicines and techniques so I could apply them to plants etc back home - which is the UK and Ireland. I currently live in Ireland. Recently we moved near a forest that is overflowing with Amanita. I feel strangely drawn to it. I came here because I read some of Amanita Dreamings youtube vids and liked her no bullshit approach that combines science and spirituality - which I do not feel are mutually exclusive. For my PhD I studied the mycorhizzal network and plant communication. You can see a short video of what I did here :

I hope this forum will be an interesting hi quality environment its already looking promising...
Your video was fascinating Gus, thanks for sharing. Some of my studies have been in human anatomy/physiology and neuropsychology... I hadn't considered the world of underground nervous systems before... phew! Wow.

Hi all. I haven't participated in an online forum before. It looks like everyone plays nice and I'm here to do just that :)
I'm a woman in my mid forties, with educational background in the humanities, a great love of music, the natural world, and learning. I have a lifelong history with anxiety and depression and have thankfully retained my capacity to "function" so I like to share info with people about mental/emotional health experiences if it can be useful. It feels odd listing things about myself like it's a dating site or something but I have done so in case anyone wishes to relate about specific things, as well as the common ground we share with regard to Amanita. I'm in the southern hemisphere and recently discovered A. muscaria growing in plantation pine forests. I had only one time, years before, seen a single specimen so it was delightful to see what I used to think of as cartoon mushrooms, growing freely. This lead me to online research both academic and anecdotal, and of course to Amanita Dreamer. I am touched by her story and presence, and super grateful for the intel.
I have harvested and dried one failed test batch (learning how to oven dry!), and then harvested and dried with some success. Fortunately there is a seasonal abundance available so I can trial the drying process. I am planning to first microdose and use sparingly in a semi-recreational way for non-religious spiritual practice. However even if I decide not to take the mushroom internally it has already done it's work in a certain way. Just having it around has had a deep and most unexpected effect, bringing a lot of self-reflection and new lines of thought about my connection to nature and spirit.

What a bountiful and bright wealth of information to come over the dark horizon.
I look forward to many more revolutions around a star with everyone here, learning more. Thank you for this forum Dreamer.

Yeah, damn. This is great. There is a video on YT of a guy rigging up electrodes to different fungi and emitting sounds. He said he's done amanita and will do it again on camera. I recently saw an ad for a gizmo you can buy to hook up to a plant and listen to it. IDK if it's legit or not. But this idea of taking plants and fungi and turning their electrical impulses into a sense that we do have, like sound, so we can learn more about them is so freaking wonderful.

Hello everyone
I'm from Victoria, Australia.
Our season has just finished.
I found a really big patch of these beautiful mushrooms not far from home on the 5th May... well they found me!
I am microdosing with the tea from Amanita Dreamer's recipe. I think the variety are very strong or else I am very sensitive to them.
They were growing on the roadside under and nearby a pine tree windbreak.
Thank you @amanitadreamer for this amazing forum and for your dedication.
And thank you to everyone who has been posting on here with your recipes of tinctures, etc. It's really helpful.
I have a tincture in the cupboard that I made from this recipe: https://www.henriettes-herb.com/blog/fly-agaric.html
It's about ready to strain. I used 330g of fresh caps of varying size, mostly medium, and 700 ml of 40 percent vodka.
I made it mostly for family and friends who are experiencing pain. But I might try it as a microdose as well, boiling it up in a tea as I go because it was made with raw caps.
Again thank you all!

I think you guys got a powerful flush this year. The Aussies have all been saying how strong they are this year! Thanks for the recipe. My attempts to make tinctures and balms are failing so I am always looking for better recipes.
