Powdered Amanita

Post by Saint.James » Fri Nov 13, 2020 11:42 pm

I thought I remember reading somewhere that it is not recommended to powder Amanita, but rather break up into small pieces to ensure consistency in potency between caps. If this is true, why? I would like to powder my caps as they vary a bit in potency even from the same patch.. Do people do this? I am not a fan of desiccants touching anything I will ingest, even through the little pouches they come in.. do you think powdered, cracker dry mushrooms will be OK without? This is how I store other varieties of mushroom with no problem.

Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!:)

I am also interested in using powder from amanita. I do this easy with psyilocybin and well.

It seems like drying and then powdering the amanita caps by mixing in a blender before boiling them in water might be a better method to distribute the potency of the caps and possible make a better conditions for the boiling reaction when making tea?

It can also make it easier for dry storage to make it into powder for future use.

How has your experience been with that.

I dry them to crackerdry, then powder them in a blender to get consistency of doses.
